The VJ01W has a feature I would have never expected to see on an ultra compact jigsaw, and that is a dust extraction port. People have always complained about the dust that comes out of their tools, so it is nice to see that tool manufacturers are finally starting to add dust control to their tools and not just as an afterthought. Besides the dust control, the Makita VJ01W also has a number...

I am sure that many of you shared a similar experience and enjoyed counting down the days. But now you are older and opening little windows to look at funny pictures just isn't enough anymore. So let the kids have the funny calendar while you enjoy marking the days with your favorite beverage.. Of course Rockwell is just trying to sell you some tools, so go ahead and buy them here...

Thanks to Milwaukee we now have a third option with their new M12 ultra compact cordless caulk and adhesive. 12-volt technology has come a long way these last few years and Milwaukee has been leading the way with their M12 line of tools, which is now over 40 tools strong. While would would not expect much...

So you can imagine how excited I was to see that someone made a rather complex scroll saw out of wood and a bit of electronics. This scroll saw was made by Mikiono, from Japan, and his design looks rather similar to that of a scroll saw I came across while doing some scroll saw shopping a couple of years back. Mikiono's design and the Eclipse scroll saw I came...

The saw was the Straight Flush, and two years later it is almost ready to be a part of your tool arsenal. What makes the Straight Flush different from every other circular saw on the market? Its name might give you a clue; its design allows it to cut flush right up against a stud, wall, or any other perpendicular surface. And it can do so much more, but it needs your...

Unlike previous models that featured only a line-in for mp3 player connection, the new model features an actual iPod dock. The new Makita jobsite radio looks very similar to the older model and still shares many of the same features. It can run on any of the old Makita stick batteries or the current 18V LXT batteries; if you don't have batteries you can use the included AC adaptor. If you use the wrong blade you will end up chipping the plastic, melting the plastic along the cut line, or in some cases, you might do both. A new Plastic Range of jig saw blades from Bosch has been designed to take on the problem that come along with cutting plastics. Bosch has come out with a few blades to match different plastics, including Clean for PVC, Clean for Plexiglass, Clean for Polypropylene and Clean for Carbon Fiber.
