This tool they called the Moto-Saw was pretty revolutionary for its time and they even advertised it as "more like magic than any tool you ever saw". While I really like the idea of the Moto-Saw, I feel that the current specs limit its abilities....

Besides, you can't show off your slick dance moves in the dark. The Makita BMR050 is one of the latest tools to hit Europe, Asia, etc., but it has yet to grace our presence. The combination radio/flashlight looks like it does a good job of covering both tasks without any sacrifice. The light features 3x 1.4 watt LED lights that are sure to...

Mathias Wandel had this idea and decided to show us his progress on Youtube. A dust collector doesn't seem very complicated, but it turns out that there is a whole heck of a lot of engineering that goes into making one that works well. The hard part of building your own dust collector is coming up with a design that does a good job of filtering out dust but still has enough power and capacity to handle the debris that your tools throw...

A person that makes things ranging from a small knick knack to a large catapult ultimately requires that he has a part for every situation and in every size. So with that many parts, how does he stay organized? One of the ways Adam Savage keeps his small parts organized is by using a crazy amount of Sortimo T-BOXXs (video below). These boxes are made by the same company that makes the L-BOXX system for Bosch. So why...

It gets all over the finished woodwork and always finds a way into my lungs. So the way to combat dust is to use a vacuum or a dust extractor. But we need one small enough to fit in the truck with the rest of the tools, and Bosch has one in the new 3931B-SPB 6.6-gallon Wet/Dry Vacuum. The 3931B-SPB is smaller than its predecessor but it pack a lot of power, offering a water lift capability of 100 inches and a 130 CFM rating. Sucking...

Well, if you are in Columbus Ohio, you have the Ohio Power Tool Races. The Ohio Power Tool Races are like a grown-up version of the pinewood derby races we participated in as children. Unfortunately this means that you probably have one of every tool. To keep your tool collection organized and quickly within reach, Occidental Leather has come out with the 5588 Stronghold Master Carpenter Case. The 5588 Master Carpenter Case is a larger take on the popular soft-sided square tool tote. I used to run with one of those small cheap knock-off square totes a few years back and liked the basic design. My issue was that the version I...
