It is also loud enough to be heard on site. Most batteries that this radio works with will power this radio for at least a day, V28 for two. It also has a nice long cord.<br />
Radio reception is very good. There is an auxiliary antenna connector for pulling in those hard to tune frequencies. I usually just slip a piece of copper pipe over the included antenna, as radio stations are pretty sparce here in rural Florida.<br />
  The Auxiliary input works great for CD/Ipods etc. And the twelve volt out cigeratte lighter type jack is very useful for charging cell phones.<br />
  This is a very heavy radio. You won't have to chase it around the jobsite on a windy day. <br />
It does not charge batteries.				]]></description>
