It took on every task with speed, while also showing long battery life. Being that their M18 Fuel Impact driver is in the same M18 Fuel family, can it too prove to be a powerhouse? Let's find out. Testing the 2653-22 Impact I wanted to test out the 2653-22 in a way that would be similar to how it would be used on the jobsite, so I turned to the ridiculous screws...

If you buy a select Makita Combo kit you will get an additional 18-volt LXT Lithium-Ion Battery Free. With cordless tools extra batteries are always beneficial, which is why I am fond of deals like this. The promotion is good on smaller 2-piece impact & drill combo kits as well as larger 4-piece combo kits. Unfortunately this is a mail-in rebate, so the battery probably won't arrive in...

It looks like Bosch US will be coming out with an 18-volt version of their oscillating multi-tool. They gave us a sneak peek at what is to come on their Facebook page. From the photo all we can really see is that it runs on 18-volts and has the tool-less blade change feature that is found on their corded models, but I suspect it is pretty much the same as the cordless model that is already available in Europe. No word on pricing or availability.

Does she ask to borrow yours? Mother's Day is less than 10 days away and is coming upon us fast, so why not buy her a drill of her very own? Skil makes one in pink, so she will automatically love it. Sure you could by her flowers, but for the same price or less you could get the Skil IXO 4-volt compact driver kit—something that is actually useful. It is small enough to fit in a craft box or drawer, yet still has enough power to do many tasks around...

Still, I was surprised to see a couple of cordless chainsaw SKU's make an appearance on their U.S. website. You see, though Makita has a huge line of cordless tools that all use the same LXT battery, and they have outdoor power tools that use these batteries, they are not sold here in the U.S. As far as I know the HCU02C1 and HCU02ZX2 cordless chainsaws are the first. Both models run on...

This is just the bare tool and doesn't come with any accessories, but what would you expect for only pocket change. The regular price for this tool is $59.99, and kit sells for just under $80. This deal is probably only worthwhile to people that already own Craftsman Nextec 12-volt tools, as a separate purchase of a battery and a charger will cost you nearly $50. You would be better off...

The other day I glanced over at it and a thought popped into my head—"I wonder if that will fit onto my circular saw?" Only one way to find out. The saw I was thinking of using was my Makita 5007MG magnesium saw with the EurekaZone dust connection mods attached. After a quick measure I found that the EZ exhaust port was the exact same size as the port on the Makita...

But why purchase batteries when you can get them for free? I found a couple of deals that can get you free Bosch or Milwaukee batteries. Now through May 4th a purchase of select Bosch 18-volt cordless tools or tool set on Amazon.com can get you a free slim-pack 18-volt battery (BAT609). The tools and kits that are eligible for this deal all seem to be Bosch's lighter-duty cordless tools. BUY - Amazon ...

Higher battery capacity is something we are seeing from many of the manufacturers and if you are not making these offerings, you could be falling behind. But to Ridgid it is not just about more Ah, their batteries also include other features that make the batteries even better. Inside each battery is some high-tech circuitry that offers protection against shorting, current over-drawing, cell over-discharge, and provide cell...

There are so many tools I don't know where to start—how do tools that talk to your smart phone sound? Disclaimer: Just to be clear, these tools have been announced for Bosch Germany and may or may not come to the USA, though many of them probably will.
