It turns out the 2012 Bosch Tool Catalog is now available at select tools stores and available online, and hidden inside its paper-thin walls are a few exciting new tools. Jay discovered a new Bosch Laser that is specifically designed to check the levelness of floors as well as a new Bosch wet tile/stone saw. Too bad it looks like the floor level cannot be used on walls. When doing wall paneling, a flat wall is a must and making a wall flat is the hardest part. ...

Instead of using fuel cells or fly-wheels, Senco developed a recharging close-looped compressed nitrogen system that acts kind of like a mini air compressor built right into the gun. Senco initially released 15-gauge and 18-gauge versions of the nailer, and now they are expanding to include a 16-gauge straight nailer (F-16S), and a 16-gauge angled nailer F-16A. "We've had tremendous success converting pneumatic, battery, and gas-powered customers to the F-15 and the F-18," says Dave Moore, Senco's director of Fusion technology....

So when I got news about a new 1-gallon from Porter-Cable, the excitement began to flow; that is until I realized that the new C1010 compressor from Porter-Cable is the same as the D55140 from DeWalt. Not that there is anything wrong with the DeWalt, it's just that the new compressor is not really new. The specification for both units are almost identical, with the C1010 coming it at 71 decibels, which...

Duo-Fast is the latest to improve upon their warranty by giving their NEW 200-S and 200-C flooring staplers and nailers a 10-year warranty on all durable parts, and a 1-year warranty on parts that wear. Check the press release below for more details on the new warranties and the tools themselves. Legacy likes to use the line, "If it's not ZillaGreen, it's not Flexzilla", and you might have seen these green air hoses in catalogs or online; but what makes these hoses so special? Well according to Legacy, these hoses will remain flexible at -40 degrees to 150 degrees, and have zero memory which allows them to lay flat right where they fall. These hoses sound to good to be true, so what could...

Their goal was to produce a nail gun for your average Joe that could give results of a seasoned pro. To do this, they have added some interesting features to their model CHN70699 finish nailer which are not found in other nail guns. These features include: a built in laser, warning lights/sounds and even a stud finder. The CHN70699 can fire nails ranging in size from 1" up to 2-1/2" and uses standard angled 15 gauge finish nails. The operating pressure range is between 70 and...

Just the other day while I was draining the rusty water from the tank of my air compressor, I was wondering why I haven't seen any aluminum air compressors on the market. They don't rust, and they would be much lighter then the steel tanks. After I made it home from work that day, I decided to search and see if there are any aluminum compressors. It turns out that there are a couple options. One is from Maxus Tools, and the other is from Ridgid. Toolsnob has a review of the 2 gallon Maxus from back...
